De VSN is lid van de Europese brancheorganisatie UEIL (Union of Lubricants Industry). Het secretariaat van UEIL is gevestigd in Brussel.
De UEIL houdt zich intensief bezig met belangenbehartiging van de bij haar aangesloten leden.

Binnen de UEIL zijn vijf commissies actief, elk met hun eigen aandachtsgebied:

– Technical and Competition Committee
– Health, Safety and Environment Committee
– Taxation Task Force
– Sustainability Committee
– GEIR
